Kelsey Bentlage

Kelsey Bentlage is a Nutrition Educator for St. Louis District Dairy Council, managing 16 Illinois counties and 12 Missouri counties out of the St. Louis office. Kelsey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with a culinary emphasis from St. Louis University. Following her time at SLU, she pursued her Master’s Degree in Nutrition Education at Eastern Illinois University and completed an internship at Western Kentucky University. Kelsey is a registered and licensed dietitian.

Prior to joining SLDDC, Kelsey worked as a clinical dietitian for Springfield Clinic Endocrinology, where she provided medical nutrition therapy primarily for patients with diabetes and other chronic health conditions. In addition, Kelsey worked for Marcoot Jersey Creamery in Greenville, Illinois. She gained extensive experience in artisan cheese-making, along with product marketing and promotion.

Kelsey was born and raised on a farm in Pocahontas, Illinois. She loves spending time with her husband and two Labradoodles. Outside of the office, you will find her enjoying the outdoors with her dogs or cooking up new creations in the kitchen. Kelsey believes the most rewarding part of her job is being able to support agriculture and tell the dairy story!
