Margie Cook is the Executive Director of St. Louis District Dairy Council and works out of the St. Louis office. A registered and licensed dietitian, she served as a Nutrition Educator in the St. Louis office for nine years before becoming Executive Director. Currently, Margie directs dairy promotion efforts aimed at health professionals, educators, schools, and consumers.
Margie has completed extensive media training, along with grant-writing and communications workshops. She has presented at several national conferences and played a role in numerous award-winning programs for SLDDC. Margie belongs to numerous professional organizations, including the Community Service Public Relations Council, Missouri Dietetic Association, and local fitness groups.
As a former competitive gymnast, diver, and dancer, Margie has a strong background in physical fitness, including 10 years of coaching experience. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Kansas and a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Fontbonne University.
Margie feels that the most rewarding part of her job is the opportunity to keep the dairy story alive by empowering consumers through education.
